 PARIS ♡ the manipulator ❝ i always care just a bit too much. ❞ Nicholas Laurent, more commonly known as Paris ever since the French Order recruited him at the ripe old age of...twenty six. That was six years ago and in that time Nicholas has learned more than he ever truly cared to know about the innermost feelings of everyone in France. To understand why he is is the current head of the French order, it's best start at the beginning of his life.In 1984, Nicholas was born to Pierre and Angelique Laurent in Paris. His family had been wealthy for a number of years and because of this Nicholas was privy to the finest education in France that one could have. His parents were different in their ways of showing affection, with his mother being the type to make sure her son knew that caring for individuals was hardly a crime, but his father felt that caring was something that one had to do in moderation. Nicholas took more after his mother and as a consequence spent nearly his entire life caring more about other people than most everyone else does. Instead of choosing a profession like a doctor, he chose to study to become a social worker, deciding that perhaps his talents for being a people person would do more good there than anywhere else. Which it did and by the time he was twenty six he was well known as someone who you could call and have everything end nicely. It's at this point that the Order came roaring into his life and approached him with the chance to replace their former Paris. ❝ for no one person can ever embody Paris without knowing that they'll forever be le coeur. ❞ After realizing the good he could do in the position he accepted and had the power of emotional manipulation (an old throwback from the beginning days of the Order when Paris needed it to control the masses). However, as time has gone by Nicholas realizes that he cannot change everything to help his fellow Frenchman and as of late he occasionally finds himself as discontent as his countrymen. He refuses to tell anyone this, however, for fear that he'll be told to step down before he loses it. He knows that he's a good fit for the position, and that's honestly what keeps him going.❝ the proper term is affection keeper, actually. ❞ Well, that and the fact that he does genuinely care about most of the members of the order (unless you happen to be British). Lyon, the "mother" of the French Order is someone he holds a great deal of affection for in particular. As for the rest of his fellow operatives, he is on at least cordial terms with most (barring the British ones) of them and has special parts in his heart reserved for any former French occupied country, French allies and his fellow French operatives. Also. Rome, but that's a story that is best left to interpretation. |
